Straightpoint 5000kg Clamp On Line Tensionmeter (COLT)
COLT, also known as Clamp On Line Tensionmeter , from Straightpoint is an innovative W ire Rope Tensionmeter (shunt tension meter) designed specifically to deliver accurate measurement tensions on wire ropes up to 11,000lbs (5000kg / 5 Tonnes), up to 1"/25mm diameters.
Lightweight, thus easy to handle, it operates utilising an integral, high-accuracy, Bluetooth module that allows the COLT to transmit wirelessly to any smart device (tablet/phone etc.) that runs the Android of iOS app.
Making use of a built-in magnetic smart device holder allows the COLT to be used as a conventional tensionmeter with on-board display. The smartphone can also be handheld or mounted in a suitable location. Once in place, the operator can effortlessly tension cables and wire ropes at any angle.
Sufficiently drop tested from 3m/10ft to ensure optimal durability when working at height, it comes with a purpose-built carry case making the COLT portable, while the use of traditional alkaline batteries means that you can keep your device powered up wherever you are.
