To ensure the measurement accuracy of Straightpoint's COLT, why not invest in this Calibration Verification Tool (CVT) that has been specifically designed to check the COLT's calibration accuracy.
This process couldn't be any more quick and simple. Open the COLT app, connect the COLT device via Bluetooth, and select 'Cal Check' within the 'Rope' menu. Then place the COLT on a flat surface, before zeroing the measurement on the screen. Place the 20-inch steel rod in the center of all three sheaves and apply the loading arm until it's fully engaged with the magnetic catch. The force measurement reading should read as 3000lbs (within an accuracy of <3%>. Should the measurement be greater than 2800lbs-3200lbs, please contact us so we can send it back for recalibration.
