Little Mule 10,000lbs Hotline Parallel Jaw Wire Grip w/ Aggressive Teeth & Spring Loaded

Capable of supporting 10,000lbs, this Hot Line model features a parallel jaw type and an aggressive teeth profile. In addition, it is fitted with a spring-loaded gate and notched handle.

Spring-loaded gates allow a lineman to use a holding stick to open the gate and place the grip on the wire. When released, the gate closes over the wire and prevents the grip from falling off the wire.

Designed to work with wire sizes from 7.62mm up to 20.32mm (Gauge: 1AWG – 450MCM), this model is suitable to work with EHSC* and Messenger Guy Wire** cable types.

*EHSC (Extra-High-Strength Cable) – This wire is tensioned to ‘guy’ or support poles and is the connecting wire that reinforces a side strain or dead end. It is the wire that is used at the top of the pole to an anchor at ground at an angle for support. The EHSC is much harder than standard guy strand wire and requires a more aggressive grip.

**Messenger Guy Wire – This is a wire that is used to support other cable or conductors and is usually made of steel. The messenger guy wire provides strength so the other cables don’t have to be as strong.
